As a member of GGS you have  a research service available to you for queries from our book and periodical collection that is housed at Concordia University, Library Technology Center, St. Paul. This makes our collection information available to all even if you do not live in the area.  You can send a brief, specific research request asking the Research Committee.  Our nominal fee is $5.00 per book or periodical searched. Your request must also include a Self Addressed Stamped Envelope.

Send your request to:

TRANSLATIONS
The GGS members and others listed will do translations from German to English. Contact them individually to discuss their availability, their experience, and the scope, schedule, and cost of your project.

Script
means Handwritten; Print means printed or typed.

To Locate a Translator near your residence, check whether the local school district offers German and if so ask the teacher to translate for a suitable fee.

If you need translators for other languages, see the list at the Federation of East European Family History Societies (FEEFHS) website <http://www.feefhs.org/>

When working with a translator send only a copy of the original document, not the original.

Click here to see the GGS available Translators.
